RAID Recovery Labs has provided us an invaluable service by recovering a massive 4 Terabytes of data from our complicated RAID-6 array. Not only did they recover all of the data, but they did it completely remotely, which was a huge cost and time saver for us. Their communication skills and professionalism, as well as reasonable rates, truly sets them apart from anyone else in the RAID recovery business. Thank you, again and again!

I had a Snap Server 4000 with 200+ GB of data that ran into a problem. The array filled up one day, then as I was freeing up space it apparently tried to write data before it was ready and lost it's stripe. The result was a broken array and two orphans.

After reading other's experience here I knew I was SOL.

I really needed the data back so I found a place called Raid Recovery Labs www.raidrecoverylabs.com that specializes in (among many other things) Snap Server data recovery. They were wonderful to work with. They work 24x7 and kept me updated during the process. They ran into several problems with my drives (one had to go to the clean room for recovery), but were able to recover 100% of my data.

There were several painful lessons learned during the process. All of my servers are now backed up, and we have procedures in place to make sure they do not get that full again.

I hope you never have to go through anything like I did, but if you do, I highly recommend Raid Recovery Labs for recovery of Snap data.

Thank you.

When my home NAS fried, it apparently destroyed the boot records on the drives. I knew the data was still there but had no way to read it. My entire life was on those drives and this time I was not going to settle for just giving up on getting the data back.

I shopped around for someone capable of doing a recovery at a reasonable price. Most places quoted figures starting at more than twice what Raid Recovery Labs quoted for a completed job.

The person that handled my case was congenial, easy to talk to and very informative.

RRL received my drives on a Tuesday and had them recovered and shipped the same day. I had them back in my possession Friday. Other labs charge double for that sort of service.

I heartily recommend RAID Recovery Labs for fast, efficient and successful recovery of data from damaged drives.

Catastrophic Raid Failure!

That is what our computer manufacturer called the situation after five hours of recovery attempts.

We had to recover our client’s data. We called six companies that specialized in Disk Recovery. We got the same song and dance from each – can’t promise anything, extra charges apply, 1-2 weeks turnaround time, couldn’t talk to anyone that was doing the work.

Our last call was to RAID Recovery Labs. What a difference! We talked to the person that was doing our recovery.

They understood exactly what had happened. They had recovered similar cases. We got specific instructions with specific time frames. We sent our drives out overnight. They worked through the next night to recover all the data.

A very complicated recovery that required the RAID Recovery PHDs to manually calculate the shifts in the data stripes. Our recovered data was returned the following day. Our clients data was saved.

If the situation happens again, we will only make 1 call. Thanks RAID recovery Labs!

I wanted to share with you all my experience with RAID Recovery Labs. Let me start by saying that I have not had to use a recovery center throughout my IT career of 14 years. I had heard good things about these guys through past colleagues in the IT industry and man did they ever come through for us.

We came in to a down server situation and immediately got on the phone with the server manufacturer thinking it was a hardware problem. After allowing the manufacturer to walk us through various RAID rebuilding steps (which in turn actually made the situation worse) they basically told us that they could not help us and that we would need to restore from backup. We found out that the backups were corrupted somehow – then we were really in a tough spot. Our only option was to restore from older backups or contact a recovery center.

I verified with RAID Recovery Labs that they did support the model of our server and they said that they ran a 24/7 shop and sometimes can get the data turned around and shipped back to you the same day. We shipped the hard drives to them and they were able to get ALL of our data back. Not only did they get all of the data back they helped us in designing a better fault tolerant system for our server environment. These guys go above and beyond more so than any Technical Support/Vendor that I have dealt with in my entire IT career.

I hope I am never in a situation where I need to call RAID Recovery labs in the future but I am thankful that I know they exist and I will tell everyone I know in the IT field as well as competitors of their wonderful services. Thanks RAID Recovery Labs – you guys are awesome!!!

“Don’t waist your time looking for anyone else other than RAID RECOVERY LABS. If you want to talk with a sales guy, call another site. If you want to talk to someone who knows what to do with the most complicated scenario, you have found the right company. Simply pick up the phone and call, you’ll know right away that these guys are as serious as it gets.

Other “professional” sites have guys that are running automated recovery software or re-stripping software. Good luck. Many will tell you they are the best professionals with a clean room but instead of talking to a sales guy, dropping off your disks and hoping, talk to a recovery engineer. I recommend these guys over any other company out there. Go with the best, don’t trust anyone else.“

My RAID 0 hard drives failed the day before Presidents Day weekend. Unfortunately, my external backup service had made only partial backups for the past three months. Disaster. I shipped RAID Recovery Labs my hard drives on Friday afternoon. They called Saturday morning to tell me they had received it, and by Sunday morning they'd recovered everything. These guys run an amazing business.

I hope you never need their service, but if you do, this is who you want to work with.

I just wanted to share my experience with a company called Raid Recovery Labs. You know I don’t impress easily, but this company is amazing!!! We lost some data from a server a few weeks ago and decided we wanted to try to recover it. We managed to lose 3 of the 6 drives at the SAME TIME in this particular raid array. To the other network guys out there – I know – I should have gone out and purchased a lotto ticket because something like that RARELY happens.

We sent out our hard drives to this company overnight last Thursday – and they received them Fri Afternoon. They are a 24/7 shop and have gotten back all of the data so far but 3% of over 1.5 million files. One thing that usually upsets me about companies is no communication! They have called me each day (at my approval of course) sometimes twice a day to give me an update on where they are at. They’ve treated my problem like it was their own.

They have a clean room on site – each person there seems to have a PHD – they are experts and they’ve built their own custom tools. I’ve got to tell you – I’m incredibly impressed with their knowledge.

Now – with 3% of the files missing – they have stopped billing us and just purely out of personal indulgence are working to get the remainder 3% back!!!!! As they said “It upsets us we can’t get back those files and want them!”

You can’t pay for that sort of dedication!

This place is completely reliable and absolutely incredible!

In a world of corporate conglomerates, where you have to bypass a computer to reach a potentially disgruntled customer service rep, RAID Recovery Labs (RRL) has held on to something rare. They are a small independent company that is professional, personable, and readily available. They provided me with one of the best consumer experiences I have had in my life.

When my motherboard crashed and my RAID 0 disappeared I was nervous. When I searched for the data on a different disk I found it had not been backed up. Based on what I heard about RAID 0 being the unrecoverable RAID I was devastated. I am a teacher and I had several years’ worth of lesson plans and other priceless data vanish.

When I called RRL my hopes soared. The voice on the other end was very confident and explained to me the exact process by which my data would be recovered. I also learned that as an educator I would be receiving a discount. Although you can not place a monetary amount on invaluable data, I found there rates to be very reasonable. They seem to be doing this because they actually care.

As an educator, it’s needless to say that I value education; I learned so much about computers from the folks at RRL through this process that I can honestly say I’m (almost) glad my motherboard crashed. I know this may seem a little over the top, but that’s how the people at RRL made me feel. They were always easy to reach and in-touch. They went beyond the call of duty and helped me set up my new RAID and even helped diagnose some problems with my system. This is the kind of customer service that just seems to be non-existent these days.

Thank you RRL for saving my data and making it an enjoyable experience.

The team at RAID Recovery labs is top notch! They will immediately put you at ease in the midst of your crisis through their personable and professional service and care. These experts recovered 90% of the data we needed from our triple-drive RAID failure...but they are only satisfied with 100% recovery. Due to their ethics and pride in their work, they went above and beyond our expectations and made a heroic effort to recover the last 10% ... without "gouging" us with additional fees.

Their concern and attention to my crisis gave me the confidence and piece of mind that they are as concerned about recovering my critical data as I am.

We had a Compaq Raid 5 array failure as a result of a power surge - during the normal array rebuild of the server the drives failed again. The original and backup of the SQL database were gone. I contacted RAID Recovery Labs, I spoke directly with a recovery engineer who clearly explained the process for RAID data recovery. I shipped the drives over night and received my first phone call from the engineer as soon as the drives reached their facility. I was kept up-to-date on the progress of the recovery with phone calls every step of the process.

I always considered a RAID 5 array failure to be non recoverable, until dealing with Raid Recovery Labs. Thanks so much, you saved us a lot of time and money. Very professional staff and they take the data recovery process serious.

RAID recovery labs offered professional, personal service throughout our ordeal. They were never condescending, and they stayed right on top of our problem until it was resolved, making sure to update us regularly on the condition of our drive. They were up front about everything from price to their own capabilities, and there was never any hype or difficulties.

In short, they are a company with fast, courteous, and above all, personal and fantastic service, and I will not only recommend them to others, I also have no hesitation in using their services again. It has been a long time since I dealt with a company that was as competent in all areas of service as they were.

Thanks, RAID recovery!!!

We had a Buffalo NAS device controller failure on our primary backup device that contained over 900 GB of client file information and sensitive company data. We sent the drives and the device to one company and they failed to retrieve our data. We needed to find a company that could retrieve our confidential data in a timely and cost effective manner.

We called several data recovery labs in search of the best fit for our situation. We needed to find a data recovery company that would care as much about our data as we did. The only recovery lab we found to have the right combination of experience, sense of urgency and great customer service was RAID Recovery Labs.

They knew exactly what was wrong with our drives and made us feel very confident they could recover all our data. They consistently gave us updates during the process and in the end they were able to recover all of our data. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone who has data recovery needs.

We had a server start to fail, when one of our engineers was told to swap the drives in our PowerEdge 2600 RAID 5 configuration to see if that would help. Needless to say it didn’t, and made data recovery impossible for us in-house. We shopped around and found Raid Recovery Labs online. I was skeptical at first because the prices we were quoted were so much less than everywhere else we looked. However, after about 20 minutes on the phone with a RAID Recovery Labs engineer, I knew they were more than qualified to recover our data.

So we shipped them the disks on a Friday for Saturday delivery. I figured I might hear back on Monday, but more likely it would be at least Tuesday before we found out if the data was recoverable. As it turned out, they had our data recovered by Saturday evening, and were just waiting on us to clarify a question about one proprietary file type. We had our original disks and the recovered data in hand Tuesday morning! They have won our business, and we would highly recommend them to others

After experiencing a hardware failure on our HP Proliant RAID array, I contacted RAID Recovery Labs and spoke to a engineer immediately. I sent the drives to them and 100% of our data was recovered and we were back up and running in 2 days. The quick service I received from RAID Recovery Labs was a lifesaver.

Things are busy and we are 100% recovered. Thanks a bunch.

Raid recovery labs was a beacon of light in what could have been our organization's darkest hour. Our server array blew up on a Friday night. We discovered that the company responsible for the management of the server had not tested restores and none of our files were backed up.

I called Raid recovery labs on saturday morning and overnighted the disks the same day. They worked around the clock until they were able to recover our data. Without them 15 years of electronic documents would have been lost.

RE: RAID Array Failure

First off, I would like to thank you for your assistance in our time of need. As you are aware, upon our return from this past Thanksgiving holiday, we experienced a catastrophic failure of our RAID 5 array and were unable to access any of our corporate data. Although I had backups of the data available, the last recoverable set would have sent us back to the May timeframe. We may have been able to recreate most of the information manually from our paper files, but that would have taken an exorbitant amount of time. Being the end of the fiscal year make it even more urgent for us to get our data recovered.

I must admit that at first, I placed a call to another data recovery firm that I have dealt with in the past, although never for such an urgent need. I was informed that it could take several weeks to recover our data unless we paid what I would consider a "small ransom" for their emergency turn around services, which could have still taken well over a week. I was also told that I could not speak with a technical specialist until after they had received our drives and had performed an initial assessment.

I did some research on the internet and located your company. Within minutes of placing my call, I was speaking directly with you in regards to our situation. You took the time to talk with me and explain your processes and procedures. Once our data drives were in your hands, you contacted me every step of the way, keeping me fully informed of your progress. You received our drives on Wednesday morning and we had the recovered data back in our office on Friday morning.

Additionally, I would like to thank you for the time that you spent with me after we had our data back. Your assistance in walking me through the set-up-of our recovered RAID array and server to ensure a more robust fault tolerant system was invaluable and went well beyond my expectations.

I am more then willing to speak with anyone that may be looking for information in regards to your company and capabilities.

Thanks again!

We had a catastrophic failure of one of our RAID 5 file servers on November 17th 2007. After trying to recover the data ourselves to no avail, we searched for a company that might be able to help us and found Raid Recovery Labs. Their response was quick and thorough, keeping us constantly informed of the status of our information.

They even sacrificed their Thanksgiving holiday to get us our data in a timely manner. They have been very professional in all aspects and truly care about that reputation. Thanks for your quick response, your professionalism, and working with us over the Thanksgiving weekend.

Thank you RAID Recovery Labs! Your unstinting efforts to recover extremely high-resolution digital images of works of art in our collection from a failed RAID 5 NAS will always be deeply appreciated – not only for the positive results, but also for your “fair dealing.” I applaud everyone on the RAID Recovery Labs team for doing their utmost to restore our data.

Sincerely,

When I realized 2 drives in our Dell Raid 5 had failed I was not too worried because I knew I had a good tape backup. The real panic started when I realized the tape backup did not contain the SQL data files that were in use. Once I picked myself up from the server room floor I called Raid Recovery Labs around 1AM. I expected to leave a message but as advertised an actual RAID engineer answered the phone and assured me his team could recover my data. Fantastic communication every step of the process is what sets these folks apart from the others. I had my data back – (fully recovered) the next day."

These people are truly amazing!

Just a note of thanks to the engineering team at RAID Recovery Labs for the outstanding work you performed. I still marvel at the depth of understanding and knowledge your team has in mass storage and RAID arrays, and the fact that you can and do recover what others call unrecoverable, like you did for us. Amazing! In addition, you and the team have pleasant attitudes that make it enjoyable to deal with your firm at a difficult time such as data loss.

Keep up the good work!
