RAID 6 DATA RECOVERY
|
Striped set with dual distributed parity. Provides fault tolerance from two drive failures; array continues
to operate with up to two failed drives. This makes larger RAID groups more practical, especially for high
availability systems. This becomes increasingly important because large-capacity drives lengthen the time
needed to recover from the failure of a single drive.
Single parity RAID levels are vulnerable to data loss until the failed drive is rebuilt: the larger the
drive, the longer the rebuild will take. With dual parity, it gives time to rebuild the array without the
data being volatile while the failed drive is being recovered.

May 27, 2008
RAID Recovery Labs has provided us an invaluable service by recovering a massive 4 Terabytes of data from our complicated RAID-6 array. Not only did they recover all of the data, but they did it completely remotely, which was a huge cost and time saver for us. Their communication skills and professionalism, as well as reasonable rates, truly sets them apart from anyone else in the RAID recovery business. Thank you, again and again!
Sincerely,
