1. CALL 800.892.8302
From your initial
call throughout the entire process you will be talking to a RAID data recovery engineer,
24/7, not a sales person or computer technician. At Raid Recovery Labs
all personal are multi-disciplined professional mass storage data structure
engineers. The RAID data recovery engineer will clearly describe all issues including:
- What the potential root cause of your failure was and how to avoid it in the
future.
- How the failure issues can impact your data.
- Details about the procedures and challenges that your RAID array issues
can cause.
- The timing and costs for your recovery.
- How to pack and ship your array to Raid Recovery Labs.
2. SHIP YOUR DRIVES
We always recommends FedEx or UPS priority
overnight service. Over 90% of all arrays received priority morning are
recovered and shipped back same day. RAID Recovery Labs recovers multi-terabytes
everyday. Once your RAID array is received, a recovery engineer will contact
you letting you know the your array has arrived and is going into evaluation.
All recovery jobs are treated as an emergency and service begins the minute
they arrive without rush or emergency fees.
3. RAID DATA RECOVERY EVALUATION
The evaluation process starts with analyzing
the integrity of the disk logics, actuators and platters. When all initial
tests are passed, the hard drives are imaged, we never works from original
media. Working from original media may present problems including failing
media and degrading logics. This can result in complete failure or corrupted
results. Once the hard drives are imaged, sector level analysis of the
array stripe is performed to determine the cause of the failure and/or
corruption. Calculations are performed to correct the stripe and/or file
system and tested across the stripe to determine the data integrity. The
evaluation time from start to finish is dependant on the size and state
of your array, but normally only run 2-5hrs and once complete a recovery
engineer will contact you with a detailed report on your evaluation.
4. DISK DRIVE ENGINEERING
This is known in the industry as Clean Room
rebuilding. Although at times this is necessary, and we preform all forms
of disk drive rebuilds from platter extractions to actuators (heads) and
firmware reconstruction., Raid Recovery Labs has developed many procedures
and techniques to work around disk drive rebuilding with tremendous success
and this can save on both time and cost. These are non-intrusive techniques
so your drives and the integrity of your data is never in jeapordy.
5.
DATA RECOVERY ENGINEERING
Once clean block level images are generated,
corrective calculations are performed and virtual model(s) of your RAID array structure
are mathematically generated. The following will show a general overview
of the standard recovery procedures:
- Binary level corrections to the array volume or stripe.
- Binary level corrections to the file system relating to the file and
folder structures (Superblocks, innodes, MBR, etc).
- Corrected file system structures are applied to the corrected volume
models and any further calculations and corrections are performed to
normalize the volume to file system.
- End to end slice testing of corrective procedures to validate the
data integrity.
- De-stripe and extraction of the recovered data to a new media volume.
6. RETURN SHIPMENT
Overnight or same day delivery is available. In the event you need immediate access to your data after your recovery is performed, a secure FTP connection will be provided for data transfer.
